Sheldon Creed, No. 2 Chevy Accessories Chevrolet Silverado

START: 7th FINISH: 6th POINTS: 10th
Notes & Quotes:—– Sheldon Creed tied is best finish of the 2019 season with a sixth-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway.
– Creed led once for a total of five laps.
– With his sixth place qualifying effort, Creed has qualified inside the top 10 in every race this season.
“I feel like this was our best truck in race trim we’ve had all year. I really wanted it to stay green in the beginning but we just got caution after caution. We would get ourselves in a good spot and start picking them off and then the caution would come out and we would have to restart on the high line. It was frustrating running second there at the end and then we needed it to stay green for a green flag pit stop but that didn’t happen for us. Overall a decent night, a really good place to build off of. Looking forward to this next stretch.”

Brett Moffitt, No. 24 Central Plains Cement Company / Concrete Supply Chevrolet Silverado

START: 4th FINISH: 11th POINTS: 4th
Notes & Quotes: – With his fourth-place qualifying effort, Brett Moffitt has qualified inside the top 10 for the ninth consecutive race this season.
– In an effort to get off strategy, the 24 team pitted under green on Lap 127 for two tires and fuel. The team also pulled out the left front fender that was causing a tire rub. Although Moffitt battled hard for position in the waning laps, he was relegated to an 11th-place finish, one lap down.
– Moffitt is currently fourth in points, 55 points behind the leader.
“This is not the result we wanted for the first race of the Triple Truck Challenge, that’s for sure. We were so fast here in the spring and we carried a lot of that over to tonight. The single lane racing without the PJ1 made it very difficult to pass and we had to make adjustments on our Chevy Silverado for when we got caught in dirty air and needed to be able to move around a bit more. We pitted under green towards the middle of the final stage and we just never got the caution we needed to get back on the lead lap and compete for a win. Looking forward to my home track of Iowa next week.”
