Sheldon Creed, No. 2 A.M. Ortega Chevrolet Silverado
Notes & Quotes:—– Sheldon Creed earned his first top-10 finish of the season with a sixth place showing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.- Creed was involved in an incident off turn number four to bring out the first caution of the race.”Tonight was another big night of learning. Obviously, I spun off turn four on lap eight and then had to come from the back. We struggled a bit on restarts because I could get going but the truck was so sketchy in dirty air. I would always fall back and then have to climb my way back through and eventually settled into sixth or seventh for most of the night. Another night of learning for us as a team and if we continue to find speed I know we’ll be up there battling in no time. Definitely an improvement but still more to learn for me and this entire No. 2 team as a whole.”
Brett Moffitt, No. 24 Allegiant Chevrolet Silverado
Notes & Quotes:—– Brett Moffitt posted his second top-10 finish in three races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.- Moffitt earned up his second consecutive top-five finish of 2019 with a second place showing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.- Moffitt qualified in the top-10 for the third consecutive race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.- During the first pit stop of the race the rear tire hose was caught under the right rear tire, causing a delay and relegating Moffitt to restart in the 25th position.“I wish we could’ve stayed up there with Kyle (Busch) on that last run. I was messing around with the air to see if I get a big enough run and push past him. We were on two tires and I knew that was my shot to get to him and I just tried to get there and get him loose. It was a make it or break it move, if it didn’t work I was going to fall back and if I was going to follow him I wasn’t going to have a chance to get to his bumper again. We were the only truck all night that was able to keep pace with him and I’m proud of the trucks this team continues to bring to the track every week. Problems on pit road continue to cost us but we’ll keep digging.”
