Sheldon Creed, No. 2 Chevy Accessories Chevrolet Silverado
START: 3rd FINISH: 27th POINTS: 10th
Notes & Quotes:—– Creed had a strong Silverado at Dover finishing third in Stage One and second in Stage Two. While running third during a restart on lap 161, he spun and hit the wall which damaged the radiator and ended his race.- Creed led 59 laps of the 200-lap race.”It was late-race restarts getting aggressive. The 18 (Harrison Burton) made it three-wide with me and my teammate (Stewart Friesen). He was on my door and there isn’t much you can do since these trucks are so aero dependent these days. It just sucked me right around. I’m bummed for my guys. It’s the best Silverado we’ve had all year. I want to thank Chevrolet for backing me and everyone who has helped me out this year. We’re getting faster and they know we are here. I have to thank my guys back at the shop for working hard and we’ll be back next weekend at Kansas.”
Brett Moffitt, No. 24 ISM Connect Chevrolet Silverado
START: 1st FINISH: 2nd POINTS: 4th
Notes & Quotes:—– Brett Moffitt won his first pole and captured his first stage win of the 2019 season at Dover.- Moffitt led three times for a total of 81 laps, the most of any driver.- He lined up second with five laps to go on the final restart, but could not catch the leader and finished second for the second time this season.”I just needed clean air at the end. It’s all about track position really. Restarting on the outside is key at Dover and he (Johnny Sauter) got the outside. All in all, we had a good ISM Connect Chevy. We were out front, we could lead it, we won the first stage. It’s just lapped traffic kind of cost us track position we never got back. Thanks to ISM Connect, Maury Gallagher and everyone at GMS that makes this team so good — we’ve been really good all year, so the wins are coming.”
