Sheldon Creed, No. 2 Chevy Accessories Chevrolet Silverado
START: 10th FINISH: 12th POINTS: 10th
Notes & Quotes:—– Creed had a strong Silverado at Charlotte, finishing eighth in stage one and seventh in stage two. An off cycle pit stop for fuel put Creed back in the field where he sustained damage from a three-wide restart and was battling for the remainder of the race..- With his 10th place qualifying effort Creed has qualified inside the top 10 in eight consecutive races this season.”Our Chevy Accessories Silverado started pretty good and we just kept making adjustments on it all night to keep up with the track. We got off sequence with our fuel strategy midway through the race and it ended up with us back in the pack and we got knocked around on a restart and we just never fully recovered. These guys work so hard on these trucks each week and we bring fast trucks, I just hate that we haven’t had the finishes to show for it. Only thing we can do is move on to the next one and hopefully we can go into Texas and win some big money.”
Brett Moffitt, No. 24 Midnight Moon Moonshine Chevrolet Silverado
START: 6th FINISH: 19th POINTS: 3rd
Notes & Quotes:—– With his sixth place qualifying effort, Brett Moffitt has qualified inside the top 10 for the eighth consecutive race this season.- Moffitt is currently third in driver standings, 33 points behind the leader.- With eight laps remaining in the race, Moffitt lost the remains of his flat right rear tire and was forced to pit from well inside the top 10, ultimately relegating him to a 19th place finish, one lap down.”There’s not much I can say about tonight. We battled the handling of our Midnight Moon Moonshine Chevy all day long. Jerry (Baxter, crew chief) got it handling pretty good and we were fast, we were going to make a run to the front and at least come out with a top 10 finish until we had the right rear go down. I just hate it for the entire team, we’ve been so close so many times this year and just haven’t quite gotten there. Our luck has got to turn around some time and these next few races are the perfect time with big money on the line in the Triple Truck Challenge.”
